it pleases to me here, I will return yet...
Some secrets are easy to keep. But some are at the focus of deep divisions within a human's soul that cause fear and stress.
Being able to put those secrets on paper and know that another human being read them and thus knows the secret can help calm the heart.
Sometimes, someone makes up a Post Secret card and, rather than mailing it in, gives it to the person whom the secret is hidden from.
Usually, that's the beginning of healing. I'm not sure it's always the beginning of healing, though. Sometimes there are very good reasons for keeping secrets.
You might well send something to Post Secret some day. We all might. We're human.

hi rob, yes, you are right in that it may well heal, but it seems so , i'm not sure of the right word, it just makes me uneasy. then too, what if someone sent in something truly awful, how would they get help or be stopped from a bad act or...? the man that recieves these has taken on an awsome responsiblity emotionally. don't you think?
hello piotr.z i will look at your blog as soon as i can. welcome! i hope you enjoy my blog. tell me, is your native languge polish? i'm not good at languages, but i have friends that speak it. : )
The great need people have to confess
to feel clean
the heart of confessionalism poetry
the search for absolvement.
Keeping secrets like change
to be hoarded in some jar
can be exhausting.
What to do
if you don't believe
in forgiveness?
Write postcards and send them to strangers.
seems to help some people.
So far I have to say
my favorite post secret is the fortune cookie that says "You think that it is a secret but it has never been one." I've been thinking of making a card myself, but having no regrets I can't think of anything to say.
i read that people in hospice were asked what they regreted in their lives and to the surprise of the researchers, the answers were not what the dying regreted doing in their lifetimes but what they regreted NOT doing, through fears or society's frowning upon whatever it was , things not done or passed by. that has really stuck with me.
