we had quite a bit of rain and it was below normal temps for ages than, bam, heat! it is going back into the 70's and more rain on and off for the rest of the week.
i have mostly huge oaks and so the soil is acidic, mostly rhodys and evergreens around here. the tulips that do grow, well, the deer eat just the flowers, like lollipops and leave the stems standing!
they say if you don't like the weather in pittsburgh just wait ten minutes, it'll change(mostly to various shades of grey!)
