vain blues/blue veins
i knew it wouldn't
could not last.
the good things seldom do
unless one's vain enough
to think it, not enough.
yet still the end
cuts quick to the bone.
delicate blue lines
a pattern tracing
china white skin.
not vain enough
to make it last.
