just finished up the recipe i mentioned earlier.
i can really recommend it. it comes from a friend
whose brother is married to a Hawaiian lady.
she says this is the closest one can come to a traditional pig slow cooked
in the earth.

you get one, 3 or 4 lb. boneless pork butt
a slow cooker and some kosher salt and small bottle of liquid smoke-4oz.

rub the pork butt with some kosher salt( about 1 tbls. )
turn the slow cooker on high.

put the pork into the crock pot fat side up.
pour 1/2 of the bottle of liquid smoke into the crockpot.

put the lid on and when the pot seems hot, about 5 min. turn it down to low and let cook for about 10 hours without lifting the lid.

after the 10 hours, take the meat out, take the small layer of fat off and shred the meat with a fork.

i just finished doing that. it is so tender it shreds itself, i swear!

use in sandwiches or however you choose.
