went to another fundraiser tonight.
summertime and there's always a lot of them. how can you turn them down?

this one was for a sweet little baby doll, 2 years old. she had cancer in her leg, almost lost it. she's doing well now. still has the chemo port in but she's a happy and determined girl. small but other than that and the hair just growing back she is like any other toddler in her pink crocs walking around holding her grandpap's hand.

she reminded me of pictures of myself at 3. small, short hair and wandering around looking at everything. kids are amazing in their capacity for dealing with horrendous things.

they did pretty well raising some cash for her medical bills.

it's a damned shame tho, that fundraisers even have to be held for things like this!
