WP went to Catholic elementary school and when the students misbehaved, the nuns put them down in the basement where the furnace was, as punishment. Yikes!

oh, we had to stand in the army green metal trash cans because we were "trash in jesus's eye" and a whole host of worse things.

i had 2 very nice nuns in my 8 years there. the rest were sadistic fanatics that truly believed they were doing the right thing because they were "brides of christ" of course, this was pre-vatican II which came in in 65 when i was already a freshman in a public high school.
