went to the "old ladies" picnic. actually it's the rural ridge grade school reunion picnic. most of the kids that went there were coal miners kids that grew to be coal miners. i love them. not too many left. i met an elderly man with terribly arthritic hands and a bad tremor. he had gone to school there in the 30's. mary "chickie baby", the dear lady that organizes the little picnic is 75.
