some people wonder why i've been a fan of healthcare reform for so long and been pretty vocal about it.

well, i've seen first hand just how horrendous those bills can be.
i've also been well aware of the specter of doom that the "pre-existing condition."is!

with NF (neurofibromatosis)aka elephant man's disease(i collect elephants because of that misnomer) patients need an army of specialists and a laundry lists of special tests throughout their lives.

i've been feeling the disease beginning to ramp up over the last few years and i have a good idea about some of the things getting worse or coming on.

and that's just me. i wouldn't want to total up all of the money spent on me since i was born. it would be too damn depressing.

i'm 57. i worry about all of the children with my genetic disease and all of the other children with worse.

don't they deserve coverage their whole lives? GOOD coverage.
don't you? you out there just getting started in your adult lives. maybe just getting married or having your 1st. child. what if that child is a special needs child? what if one of you have to quit work to provide the extra care and nurturing that child needs? we are( YES, we ARE!)at almost the very BOTTOM of the list for providing healthcare and for over all health out of all of the industrialized 1st class so called, countries.

sad, when you think of it.
sad, selfish and greedy.

my two cents.
