Department of Defense NF Research Program of $25 Million for Fiscal 2010.

Your participation is CRITICAL. The Senate is expected to consider their FY10 Defense Appropriations bill this week on the Senate floor and a conference with the House to work out the differences in the two bills will follow very quickly since the end of the fiscal year is fast approaching (September 30). With a quick turnaround expected, it is important that you all contact your members of Congress ASAP to encourage them to include in conference the $25 million included in the House version of the FY10 Defense Appropriations bill for the Army's Neurofibromatosis Research Program. Since the Senate bill does not include money for the Army's NF Research Program (this is not unusual), it is important to do all you can to encourage members in both the House and Senate to include the House number ($25 million) in conference of the defense appropriations bill.



Now is the time to write to your Senators and Repr esentatives to tell them how important NF research is to you. If you don't tell them, they don't know!!
