my kitchen cabinets are 1953 style. the kind with the big "bread drawer".

i've never used it for bread- it wouldn't do anything helpful breadwise. i use it for my jarred spices and bottled extracts, salt etc. i just went in to get a package of yeast(on of the few items NOT in jars to protect against bugs and wee mousies)

surprise- overnight a teeny critter got in the drawer and not only ate all of my yeast, save 1 packet, it ate an entire packet of taco seasoning!

he may wish he was dead today, if he isn't.
