In a speech in South Carolina, Google search term and Republican Presidential candidate, Rick Santorum compared Medicare and Medicaid to “food insurance.” “So we’re going to have food insurance. So what’s going to happen? You’re going to go and you’re going to pay the grocery store 500 bucks. Then you go to the grocery story and there are no prices on anything, shelves are full, no prices on anything. You just go and get whatever you want. And you check out and they have a scanner and you check out and there’s prices on there but they’ll say, ‘Well, this bill is $435 and your bill is $42.10.’” Rick, um. I’m sure you have great health insurance. Most of us don’t. We can’t go to the doctor and pick out any procedure we want. No matter how hard I try, no insurance company, including Medicare, is going to pay for lipo or a “little lift.” How many Medicare recipients would be eligible for the Dick Cheney heart pump? If we’re lucky, we have the type of insurance that will cover preventative measures. If we’re lucky, we have the type of insurance that will treat basic illnesses. You might, but we don’t get a shelf full of procedures to choose from. Read story on Raw Story. me- he is so damn stupid. it's amazing how stupid he is.
