hope everyone had a nice valentine's day.
the weather here was ugly but we went out to eat with my daughter and son-in-law and my little sweetie to celebrate another fantastic report card. she got to pick so we went to sushi tomo.
me? i hate fish. HATES IT i does! so raw fish was out of the question! i had tempura battered chicken and miso soup with tofu and seaweed and some edamame beforehand.
my little sweetie adores edamame and has since she was a toddler. she's a small little girl but she had the edamame, two bowls of miso soup and LARGE battered prawn, rice and a few slices of caterpillar roll. everyone else had sushi. they tried- but, nope- i wasn't even going to try. it is beautifully done and everyone raved about it-but, nope.
after dinner, because i had told the waitress that mai had chosen to eat there for a report card reward, the lady brought her a small pick scoop of strawberry ice cream. this was unlike any ice cream i had ever eaten (mai shared) it was amazing and it had a coating of a sort of pick gumdrop dusted with either powdered sugar or powdered sugar and cornstarch- excellent!!!
then, i came home and got into bed and watched COUNTDOWN and then MADDOW and drifted off to sleep.
nice valentine's day!
