got a letter in the mail today-with a black and white photo on the front of the envelope. it's a elderly woman with a headscarf ties in the back . her hands are is a sort of prayerful position and she is looking upward in a beseeching manner.


hummmm, what ever could this be?????


it says that "you can feed an elderly jewish widow in Israel for only $2.40."

"enclosed: an important mess age from christian leaders"


me- oh, i HAD to open THIS! especially because PAT BOONE had a message for ME on the back of the envelope:

"i consider it a privilege to help save THOUSANDS of lives through THE FELLOWSHIP'S programs. i urge you to support this organization."




i read the contents- some rabbi named yechiel eckstein says he's an orthodox rabbi who has been working with thousands of christians across america to help rescue jews and fulfill biblical prophesy!


now me- damn i had no idea til i read this whole thing that all of these elderly jews and holocaust survivors are in such dire straits. starving and homeless. where the FUCK has all of america's aid to israel gotten too if all of these old jews like this poor woman are starving???


my gift of 51 bucks will provide a WEEK of nutritious meals for three elderly jews in israel.

me- i had NO idea even though i have a poet friend that was born and raised and lives there with her family. she's younger than i am though-so maybe she's had a good meal or two!!!!
