The head of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services – the agency that processes applications for visas, naturalization and asylum, and manages other immigration functions not related to enforcement – is scheduled to appear next week at an event hosted by the Center for Immigration Studies, an anti-immigrant hate group. Heidi Beirich of our Intelligence Project describes this as "just one more example of the strong bond between this administration and far-right extremists who will stop at nothing to fuel rage and resentment against immigrants of color."
