got an e-mail from my cousin linda.
she lives in fla. now and she started to
volunteer at a big cat rescue compound.
she got to touch tigers and lions and observe them
linda was thrilled.
i posted this picture because there is a
white tiger at the compound and she got to scratch his nose.
mostly tho, i posted this photo because i KNOW that
THIS is how bob sees himself!!! ; ) s.

WOW! Yeah, maybe bob does see himself like that, but he's much happier at your side than any tourist cage having to pose for tourists. Or maybe he's a poser too. lol!
bob is a ham, truly, he likes getting his picture taken. the flash doesn't bother him one bit!
i don't know much about the place my cousin has started to volunteer at except that it's a rescue ranch which takes in all sorts of the "big cats" that people somehow aquire as babies and then find that a wild animal does not make a good pet OR a safe pet because they do not act in a predictable manner as the wild ones do.
we have a very nice zoo here in pittsburgh. it's been revamped to mimic natural habitat, as much as it could be and i tend to look at zoo animals as ambassadors that hopefully will teach each generation the importance of saving wilderness and the different animal species, and learning kindness and compassion.
bob agrees. of course, he doesn't think as much of zoos as i do, no beds or couches or a box full of cat toys and a cupboard with kitty treats!
Allow me some poetic licence Sherry. I'm sure your cousins place is very nice.
I just meant to say that I didn't think bob would wanna change his place at your side for the bright lights in hollywood. Laters ... Q

hi, i know you were teasing me.
i've never seen my cousin's house, i've never seen the place she volunteers at either. i don't travel much. my cousin tho, she will get in her car and drive from florida to pittsburgh(no small trip) anythime she wants(if she isn't working)
she misses it here and the change of the seasons, her old friends, but she remarried a few years ago and tho her new husband is originally from here, he now works down in fla.
she likes a lot of the things down there, but she's a pittsburgher at heart. : )
