this is my backyard leading into the woods. the thin little stick in the foreground of the first picture is what is left of my beautiful mimosa. the oak tree that you see on the other side of the mud track from the excavator is a bit smaller than the ones they took. it is still a good, 35 feet high and about a foot around. they may have to take more but it needs to be done.

hurts tho. it really does.

I've been following this so thank you for the pix. I'm sorry you're losing those trees. What a terrible shame.

when i think of all of the years those oaks stood tall and the fact that the mimosa only started to bloom a few years ago i is really sad but things change and the septic systems here are all old and working poorly and that is not good for people or the ground water so there's not much to be done.

i will be as i said, doing a happy little dance in my shower while running a load of laundy at the same damn time one the sewers are done!!!!

hiya, i live about a 5 or 6 minute drive from the city.unless it's rush hour. anyone that is this close to pgh is technically if not morally, in the city.

anyone that lives in allegheny county claims pittsburgh as home.

besides we do have deer and turkeys as well as coyotes that have taken to roaming the city in the past few years.
