The 8-year old, third grade, great-granddaughter here had to write a sentence for her spelling homework, using the word "inference". Her Nana didn't know how to tell her what it meant, so she looked it up, and explained the best way she could. I'm waiting to hear what the teacher said when she got the homework assignment, which said, "I don't understand what inference means." True story, this week.
only kids! my granddaughter just makes my days!
