think about this. take the word, "christian" out of this tirade and substitute
any, ANY other religion and their holy book and then tell me how you'd feel about u.s. policy being based on it.
also, keep in mind that MANY mainstream christians do NOT believe that these "end times" doomsday passages should be taken literally. none of that stuff is new testament. isn't and shouldn't the words of the new testament supersede the old??
didn't christ come to bring a new covenant???
and that is why some of us blog against theocracy, ANY theocracy.

That is so well put. No theocracy would be a good one.
i'm a firm believer in seperation of church and state. one's beliefs are theirs and i think that's fine but don't push them legally on anyone else.
we've seen enough examples over the centuries, of how badly that sort of thing works out.
