NF is more common than Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy, and Huntington's Disease combined. NF is the most common genetic disorder.

NF can cause pain, mobilitiy issues, paralysis, loss of feeling, disfigurement, learning disabilities, blindness, deafness, scoliosis, and cancer.

There is no way to know how mild or severe a case of NF will be. There is a 50% chance of passing NF on to children. Also, half of all people with NF developed NF due to a spontaneous mutation, meaning that there is no family history of NF. NF affects all races and genders equally. NF can happen in any family.

if you are looking for somewhere to donate-even a dollar or two...
