Dear sherry

Last week we introduced you to our Emerging Leader program—our way of supporting Iraq and Afghanistan veterans running for state and local office. Specifically, we asked you to donate to two of our State House candidates facing a tough, upcoming primary—Jason Kander and Stephen Webber, both of Missouri.

Well, we have good news to report today: Both Jason and Stephen won their primaries handily last night. But, more importantly, neither of them faces an opponent in the general election, so this means they've each effectively won their respective seats for the Missouri State House!

Many of you gave to their campaigns last week, and in the final push, it truly made a difference. So for that, we thank you!

Bringing level-headedness back to America's policies on national security, the military, and veterans' issues is going to be a long haul. But, through your support of first-time candidates like Jason and Stephen, you've played a role in bringing our country back where it needs to be. I have no doubt that these two will represent their constituents, the military, and the veterans' communities with honor, poise, and the same good judgment that allowed them to serve our country so successfully on the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq.

So again, thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Brandon Friedman
