went to a charity/fundraising car show thingy last night at a care home for elderly people with forms of memory loss and dementia. we've gone every year for the past 4 or 5. they had a dj and raffles and the weather was nice so the staff brought out
some of the residents. sweet people. some, not knowing , i think, that they were even outside but looking like they enjoyed the warm evening and the sweet breezes.
one lady in a wheel chair had a life size baby doll that she caressed and handled as if it was alive. she must have been a loving mother or grandmother at one time by the skillful and loving way she cared for the doll.

some tapped their feet in time to the music. especially when the dj played tunes from the WWII era.

it was a good evening.

and the staff there are some wonderful, dedicated people.
