Carol Rhodes:”Carol Rhodes: There are dominionists in the WH. Anyone who has been reading about the Christian right-wing and their desires to turn this country into a theocracy is not surprised by this. Just look into the 7 Mountains Mandate. Just read The Family, or apparently see the Netflix documentary based on that book. They have been at this for years, but with much more stealth than the "Moral Majority" used in the 1970s and 80s. When they got all the pushback back then and realized they were reviled, they essentially decided they were going to get into positions of power, not mentioning their religious beliefs at all, and then try to make the country a theocracy. It's a well-organized effort, helped along by the Council for National Policy and other groups. Well, they are grabbing more power all the time (trying to rid us of the separation of church and state for instance) and it is my fear that if America doesn't wake up to how much of a threat they are to the world, then we are doomed. Some of them don't care about the future of the planet. All they care about is the second coming of Christ. So global warming doesn't matter to them. Nuclear threats don't matter to them. They want more signs of Christ's second coming, not fewer. BUT Trump is increasingly turning off more people, fortunately, but it doesn't mean we are safe. Although many evangelicals are beginning to be disgusted with him (but not necessarily for the reasons you and I would be) he still has a solid base. I suspect that they are composed of three main types. 1) Those who are not necessarily Christian but who are seeking revenge against liberals. Much of their fodder for hatred comes from Fox News, which has been filling the minds of Americans with their twisted take on things for years. 2) Dominionists who want to see the second coming of Christ. Some believe the world has to be Christian before that happens so not only are they trying to convert people, but they won't stand in the way of anything Trump does that would achieve their ends. 3) The anti-abortionists who will stop at nothing to get Roe vs Wade overturned. Frankly, I really don't think this is the largest group within his supporters. And I think they have sort of left that in the dust in favor of other things. As for the way they are achieving this, it is one of the 7 Mountains mandates--to take over the media. And they have done this through Fox News and now more recently The Epoch Times who is presently one of Trump's best media buddies. It is a large propaganda rag that no one should trust. Don't even share their cute puppy and animal videos because that is a way they get people sucked into their Facebook channel. That rag probably appeals to the second group, who are also probably listening to the myriad of Christian channels across the US. The propaganda that is out there is mind-boggling. When I think about it reminds me of the way that Hitler used radio when it has newly arrived on the scene. Trump uses the Internet and Fox news and other channels in the same way. In any case, it's lead me to the conclusion that it is no longer appropriate to call the Christian right-wing "Christian". Were I a believer in the devil, I would call them the "Satanic right-wing" because everything they are doing is definitely not Christian.” Suzette Sommer: “Don’t forget about Sinclair Broadcast Group,a right wing propaganda outlet, busily buying up 70% of major media outlets across America. That’s happening as we speak. Controlling the media is key to the right wing coup. If they can’t own it, they’re already demonstrating their tactics of intimidation of the media. How can anybody NOT see what is going on? November 2016 was a coup not an election. Wake up!”
