you ever start out planning on doing something 1 way. planned on it for years and then, BLAMMO, you get an idea and scrap the first?

i have been working on a poetry book for years now. i had the whole thing worked out except for some placements of certain pieces and then i just got this weird vibe that i really should change the theme and go for a completely different book.

to write some companion pieces to some that i've had for years because these "people" want to "become."

at first i thought i was, yet again, stalling on purpose. afraid of the rejections.(i always hate those. i understand them but it doesn't stop me from agonizing over them)

but, nope, this is something that wants doing and so...
