i have to laugh at the truth of this.

i called my mom today to check in, see how she is.
she was bemoaning that she has gotten old "all of a sudden"
because her hands shake sometimes. she will be 89 in a few months.

i told her to, "cheer up, i'm old too."

to which she said, "yes, but you were born old."


she's right. i've always been an old soul.
